The 41303-5A, manufactured by R. M. Young Company, is a naturally aspirated, 6-plate radiation shield. Its louvered construction allows air to pass freely through the shield, serving to keep the probe at or near ambient temperature. The shield's white color reflects solar radiation.
Read MoreThe 41303-5A houses one 107, 108, 109, CS215, or HMP60 probe. The probe fits in the bottom of the shield and is held into place with screws.
The 41303-5A includes a 2-in. u-bolt with a plastic v-block. The u-bolt is placed in the holes on the side of the bracket for attachment to a mast or vertical pole. The u-bolt is placed in the holes on the bottom of the bracket for attachment to a crossarm.
The 41303-5A replaced the 41301 in 2005. The biggest improvement of the 41301 is that it can be mounted to either a vertical pole or horizontal pipe. The retired 41301 only mounted to a vertical pole. |

No. The HMP155A-L requires the 41005-5 14-Plate Solar Radiation Shield.
To measure ambient temperature and relative humidity (RH), mount the HC2S3-L probe inside a 41003-5 or 41003-5A 10-Plate Radiation Shield. The 27731 hex plug is shipped with the HC2S3-L so that it can be used with older 10-plate radiation shield models. The 6-plate radiation shield (pn 41303-5A) cannot be used with the HC2S3-L.
