Internally the antenna incorporates two identical elements in a MIMO configuration with two separate output leads. The MIMO configuration is recommended for some of Campbell Scientific’s higher speed cellular modems, the RV50X, for instance. The configuration can give slightly higher data transfer speeds with faster, ethernet connected dataloggers.

This antenna is also available as an enclosure mount version for fitting in the top of the enclosure with 400 mm leads. The part number is:

To gain benefit from the MIMO configuration ensure the modem is configured to use a second antenna.
If an antenna is required to provide spatial diversity, as is sometimes recommended for problematic sites on 3G networks, please buy two non-MIMO antennas and mount them separated by a distance of at least 0.5 metres.
