Conversion of Thies Station with (analogue) Sun, Wind, and Baro meassurements

Hi,

I'm realively new to working with campbell dataloggers. We've been operating a Thies DLx based Station for quite a while, but the Logger itself is running out of options.

We are planning to swap out the logger for a CR350Cell, which we already have. I am using Short-Cut to setup the program but was only able to find one Sensor listed.

1. The Kipp & Zonen CSD 3 sunshine duration sensor is listed, but only for the duration output of 0 or 1 Volt. It also outputs the estimated direct radiation - how would this be measured, via a single-ended Voltage with "VoltSE" - likely in the range of 0 - 2.5 V with the scaling updated to match 1 mV == 1 W/m²? How can I get short-cut to ouput a wiring suggestion for this?

2. The barometric pressure is using a Thies 3.1157.10.000 which outputs the the pressure between 800 hPa and 1060 hPa as 0 - 5 V - the CR350 only supports 0 - 2.5 V - is ther any way to measure 0 - 5 V ? Or would I have to divide the voltage using two resistors? Would this even be accurate?

3. For the Windspeed and Winddirection we're using a Thies Combined Wind Transmitter (4.2226.22.000) which, for the windspeed, outputs pules/a frequency between 3 to 1042 Hz without an offset which is equivalent to 0.3 - 50 m/s. For the winddirection is uses some 8-bit serial synchronous interface over two wires. This I don't quiete understand how it works.

4. firstly in addition, ultimately as an replacement we're planning to connect a Gill Windmaster 3D ultrasonic anemometer to the logger its data output seems to be via serial (RS323 or RS485) only, no SDI12 or analogue outputs. Would that also work with the CR350?

If the CR350 is not suitable for this application what will be needed to operate those sensors?

Hopefully someone can provide me with some information and guidance on how to set this up correctly.

cheers

Jonas

I've been using SafePro 7534 aluminum foil sandwich sheets https://mcdonaldpaper.com/safepro-7534-14x16-inch-coushion-aluminum-foil-sandwich-sheets-2x500-cs/ in my kiosk and they've made a huge difference. Their pre-cut design saves my staff valuable time, allowing us to serve customers more efficiently. In addition, they help keep our takeout food hot, ensuring customer satisfaction. These sandwich sheets are a valuable asset for any foodservice business.
